Crocheters Unite

Could you imagine, not being able to purchase the yarn needed for an afghan you were just going crazy to make? Or wanting to make Crocheted gifts for others & not being able to, because it is not on the list of needs for the month? Or having to put Crocheting in the back of your mind, all -together ~ Because food, necessities, others, have to stay at the front of Important things?
Do you have any extra Crocheting Supplies just gathering dust? Been wanting to clean out stash yarn & extra patterns? Here is a way for you to do that & feel good in knowing your items will be sent to another Crocheter, that just can not afford to purchase what they need.
Crocheting is a type of therapy. If we can help provide that, then we are doing a service not only for the receiver, but also the giver...it feels good to give.
The objective here is to get crochet supplies that are not being used, into the hands of crocheters in need.
A way for us to keep the crochet community on the up-rise. A way for us to help, even when we think there is nothing we can do. There is plenty that can be done. We do not have to depend on the government or big business ... we CAN depend on each other.
Below is a list of some of the items you can donate. Please keep in mind, if an item is ready for the trash...it shouldn't be given to someone. But items that just need cleaned up or sanded, are most very welcomed.
Yarn
Hooks
Measuring Tapes
Stitch Markers
Fiberfill
Patterns/Pattern Books
Magnifying Glasses
Notebooks
Pens
Plastic needles
Totes
Hook Cases (Crocheted or not)
Binders
Any thing you may use in crochet
Also, knitting supplies are welcome. As there are a need for those also.
This list will grow as more ideas come to mind.
We are just starting this, so there will be plenty of info added at different times in the next few weeks. Like a name for this organization. :)
At this time, I am unable to give any kick-backs for postage, am hoping this will change.
Anything you want to donate can be sent to
